Hi there!
Anastasia Kleckner is a Russian born, California Bay Area based illustrator who always had a love for storytelling. From memorizing her favorite children's books by heart, spending time learning Egyptian hieroglyphics, and abundant consumption of comics, she found her passion for visual language early on in life.
After graduating with a BFA from Parsons in Illustration, she took to working in eduTech at Epic! where she spent 8 years working with traditional book publishers, big and small, to help fill out Epic’s digital kids ebook library. Her work entailed visiting many publishing conferences, helping to digitize tens of thousands of books, and getting insight into the world of children’s books. Anastasia’s work inspired her to once again pursue her own illustration work. Outside of a well conceived plot, she is a fan of sweets, fashion, and historical documentaries.
